Red Shouldered Hawks

Last month while at the Refuge, I was told where there was a pair of Red Shouldered Hawks building a nest. I spent about 2 hours watching it that day, but nothing happened.

I just got back from spending a few days at the Refuge. This time watching the nest was productive. They are incubating eggs and one of them is constantly on the nest. The trick is to be there when they switch. One time I only had to wait 15 minutes. The next time it was 1 hour and 55 minutes. The incoming hawk, the male in this pic, brings a stick to add to the nest each time.
