Megawatts

Turbine 43 at the Hatchet Ridge Wind Farm. It was blowing at about 45 MPH, and the turbine was producing it's peak power of 2.5 megawatts. The blade tips move at over 120 miles per hour, and each blade produces a thousand foot pounds of torque. They whistle dramatically when they whip over your head. Rad.
