Vizcaya's Best

A friend once asked me: "What should I try and buy in Nueva Vizcaya?". Without batting an eye, I recommended Bambang's Dainty Special Bibingka --- a bibingka variety made from ground sticky rice, sprinkled with cheese, and oven baked; and Bagabag's thin but creamy G&B Buko Pie (right) that is much better than its thicker but starchy counterpart from Laguna. Of course, Solano's tupig (i.e. roasted sticky rice with coconut milk and meat) and Bayombong's perante oranges should also be on the list.
