Oregon City Schoolhouse

Oregon City (fomaly Bloomingdale and Hengy) is an old mining town that was established in the autumn of 1848, by a party of Oregonians! The area was originaly a mining camp during the California Gold Rush, but once the gold dried up, the area became a ghost town, but a few people still live in the surrounding area!

Shown here, is the Oregon City Schoolhouse, built during the gold rush! The school is open to visitors on weekends! It used to be a museum, and the actual school desks were inside, but it was later converted into a church, and the historic desks were replaced with pubes!
