Corcovado from the airplane
As we were coming in to land at Santos Dumont airport in Rio de Janeiro, we flew by Corcovado which is dominated by the famous statue of Christ overlooking the city. I had a good view of it from my window although the sun angle was not at its best to take a photograph. I took it anyway, and with some of the fancy software available today I was able to make some adjustments and turn it into a semi-acceptable shot. It presents the popular landmark from an unusual perspective not often seen. This is why I'm showing it here.

The next two shots were taken on the same flight, but for those, the sun was at a more desirable angle.
