Starlight Roller Rink

Band shell and "dance floor" at the long abandoned Starlight Roller Skating Rink and outdoor dance hall located between Toquerville and Pintura on the old Cedar City highway, parts of which are now I-15.

From the sketchy information I have been able to gather about this place, it was built in the early 1940's and functioned as both an outdoor dance hall in the big band days and a roller skating rink. The faded words over the band shell say Starlight Roller Rink. The oldest resident in Pintura tells me that the place was abandoned around 1953 just as the Korean Conflict was ending.
