Just as I'm getting the hang of googie it seems to be disappearing before my eyes. Good job we've got arby to save the image for us.

Wow! that's a cool sign. I just hope they will restore it if it's taken down. Those rockies are pretty cool too, nice backdrop.

Two of my favorite things in the world, Motels and Mountains. Great capture!

Me? I'd load it up and take it home as I have done three times in the past with one of these old relics.

Oh, a heartbreaker! I never got to see this place, and it's gone. From what I've been hearing, Utah County has gotten even worse than SL County at preservation (and sadly, that's pretty bad).

That is quite a photo. Sorry to hear that it's gone now (likely).

Here's a photo of this sign being taken down. I assume it wasn't saved, right Arby?

Thanks for the link to the Herald story. You would think that since I'm here in Orem most of the time these days, I would have seen it but no such luck. As far as I know the sign was not saved but it was such a cool sign, I'm sure it went to sign heaven.

You always amaze me with all the information you provide to all of us on Flickr. It is really appreciated!

Thank goodness you were able to "preserve" this fabulous old sign, may it rest in peace, in your photograph here. Great shot!
