Snowflake 1

    Newer Older

Out having some fun today with my 50mm reversed setup. Got some really cool snowflakes. I hope to have time tomorrow to do some more while it's cold out.

I love these. What did you use for the background? and natural light?

I actually used the base off my LCD TV. We don't use it as we have it hanging on the wall, but the smooth shiny surface worked well. And the light was 1/2 ambient sunlight and I filled it in with a bit of flash from the side to add to the contrast.

Awesome, did you glue together filter rings, or how did you mount to your cam? Nicely done!

davegkugler I used something like this. Can't find the exact link of where I bought it, but this is basically it. Metal adapter that has 2 male threads that fit the filter sizes you have for your telephoto and 50mm prime. You may have a tough time finding a 77-77mm one though. ;)
