Strawberry Cheese Cake @ Bazaar Beer Cafe
Dessert was a choice between chocolate souffle, sticky toffee pudding, and strawberry cheese cake. We commented on the lack of traditional Czech desserts to the waitress and she sheepishly said "I like it so that's why its on the menu". Followed by "I have Czech at home all the time". Hehe.
The cheese cake was delicious. A very lightly sour strawberry top, middle layer of lightly creamy cheese with a hint of lime and a thin gingery biscuit base.
I have to give her thumbs up for service overall too, making some good recommendations on the starters - we went for the "csabai" messe platter which is a mix of csabai sausage (fatty and slightly sour tasting, very good), grilled asparagus wrapped in prosciutto (the prosciutto was almost crispy, the asparagus firm, a delightful partnership), stuffed peppers, olives, pickles and sundried tomatoes. More importantly she recommended against the 3 dips platter which we had initially favoured, dismissing it as "just bread, crackers and dip" which is a good call really. We're in a Czech beer cafe afterall.
