Wildness Lost: the Pine Creek Watershed Project
The river’s iconic watershed in north-central PA spans 979 square miles, including parts of Clinton, Lycoming, Potter, and Tioga Counties, and an infamous 47-mile gorge through which the Creek flows. Humans have left their mark on Pine Creek for thousands of years, but the effects of timber and fossil fuel extraction in the last 220 years are most notable. Wildness Lost explores over a decade of unconventional O&G expansion in this watershed. View the digital atlas and learn more at www.fractracker.org/projects/wildness-lost-pine-creek/
