What’s with the comma in the title? Maybe they are saying “paint it, black!” like “hey, Mr. Black, please paint my door!” It was the record company’s idea to add the comma. Most compilations and internet radio stations remove the comma.

A cover of the music was used in the “Westworld” series aired on HBO directed by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy.

"Paint It Black" (originally released as "Paint It, Black") is a song by the English rock band the Rolling Stones. Jointly credited to the songwriting partnership of Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, it was first released as a single on 7 May 1966, and later included as the opening track to the US version of their 1966 album Aftermath.
