Loch Leven springtime

This patch of bright green stood out on the north shore of Loch Leven: I think they're flag irises. Beinn a Bheithir stands behind: you can only see one of the two Munros, Sgorr Dearg - red peak, though it looks silvery grey from here, with a nice tip of snow. I did find reddish rock on my way up it the previous day. Its long north ridge is clearly seen: it was my way down and it's a lovely walk, not steep and keeping you high for a long time with beautiful views up Loch Leven. The only trouble is getting through the forestry at the bottom, which can be a real struggle through thick young confers and stumbling over the roots of felled trees.
