Judith Klain, Direcotr of SF Project Homeless Connect.
SF Garden Communities are being created everywhere to help improve community building, provide locally grown produce and safe spaces where we can all be productive and healthy, as localized, diverse and united communities everywhere.
These videos show SF Homeless residents, Gardener Joseph (SF First P.O.W.E.R.
Team Member), Judith Klain, Director of SF Project Homeless Connect (SFPCH), Henry Belton, Chair of the SF Shelter Monitoring Committee (SF SMC), local Hayes Valley Neighborhood residents (HVN Association members, too) and Garden Designer John Bela (from ReBarg.org) working to create a Garden Community on two plots at Octavia-Lily Streets where 15 homeless & 15 not so homeless residents will grow together and share in the harvest from these gardens.
These projects are under the banner of Growing Home (started in Chicago?)
