Andrew Sullivan just used this image on his blog and linked back to here. You should offer a print and a Tshirt and cash in right away!

The only thing that would make this better would be if the actual piece was vandalized like this.

Nope. This is the first I have seen that version of my concept. Not sure there is much I can do... is there?

Sent them a note through the contact section on the site. I guess I wait to see what is next. My guess is they ignore me or write a nasty "Bug Off" note back.

Unfortunately a number of people have come up with this idea. With this sort of pop culture its impossible to prove who came up with it first unless things are dated, and not everyone puts their ideas online. I also came up with the same idea, thought dang I bet someone else thought it first and eventually found this thread.

March 5, 2011. Posted it the same night I created it.

You'd have to prove that they created the document after you. They will likely create a document and say they didn't make public. Check which country that company is in to establish wether or not it is local or international copy right law you have to deal with and then talk to a US or International copyright expert. It will be expensive, but they will be able to advise you accordingly. New Zealand copyright lawyers encourage authors/designers/artists to publish documents as soon as possible in some form or another to make it easier to challenge a case should it arise. In the case of mashups its hard because a number of people may come up with the same idea at the same time.
