Fashionable Dane - complete with red boots - boarding the Intercity train to Copenhagen.

On local and regional trains you don't have to lift your bike up stairs, you just roll them on and place them in the bike racks on board. But this is the fast intercity train. Built for speed.

But lifting a bicycle is no great problem. In heels or not.

Mikael, maybe you can give me an hjaelping hand.. I have a stong remebrance of a moment like this. I was with my friend from FRB on the train back from Charlottenlund to Copenhagen. She was carring her heavy Hamlet.. After the first leg with the train, she kissed me goodbye and I took a bus directed to the Radhuspladsen area, at the same time she drove back home with her bike on a parallel lane. The bus was faster but not enough to win the fading green light and stopped three times. For three times the she waved goodbye to me.

The odd question is: what bus? what road is obsessing me?

      A nice story.
Where did you get off the train? And where did you catch the bus?

I am checking the train map : wikitravel.org/en/Image:Map_trains_cph.png but I coming to nothing, my memory is so to say blurred&flared.. I can remember only that the train was a ol' good red one and the bus a new odd grapefruit-yellow one. The road was straight but the lights were not very distant, I thought how sadistic it was not to have a green-line of synchronized lights…

If it was Frederiksberg and the street was long and with bike path and traffic lights and busses, then I would guess Nordre Fasanvej. There are S-train stations nearby.
      Or maybe Falkoner Allé.
      ?

I think Norrebro Station and Nordre Fasanvej are the places.. From Googleearth on this road I can see even the yellow busses.

      99% we got it.

      Thank you.
