This is a city that is confident of its bike culture. It's carved in stone.

I hate those markings. I bike past Kungsträdgården every day and those bronze-signs, albeit pretty, are practically invisible. Making the bike lane invisible to the pedestrians, in effect putting bicycles on the sidewalk.

I assume this was taken at St. Eriksplan, if so, at least two of those bicycle symbols indicate that the bike lane continues inside a wall... And that particular intersection is in other ways a nightmarish mix of pedestrians and cyclists, with neither being quite sure where they belong. I've had at least one accident there and seen a few near misses.

A typical political opportunity item, it's fancy looking, so it must be good.
