• I just love this customisation. - Sean Hogan - 何祥
  • The forks you see here are for the bike version of the Trio. You pop on the front wheel and you have a regular bike.
  • If you don't want a cargo bike you can use the Trio as a stroller.
  • The front wheel for the bike is stored underneath the carriage. - Patrick Barber
  • Call me stupid, but I thought there was a baby inside it :s *^_^* - lu 路
  • That's not a strange thought at all. Many people ride around with babies.

Triobike and Heels

Newer Older

Classic Copenhagen supermum on a classic Danish cargo bike. The Trio. Three in one. Ride it, push it, or pop a front wheel on the bike part and use your bike.
I've heard the Dutch have started making cargo bikes lately. Which is nice, of course. But Denmark is the home of the cargo bike and always will be.

Friborg1669, wow, cool, this is the second case I've come across today of someone finding their own bike on flickr.

    Here's the other: www.flickr.com/photos/2kings/2486890275/

Also, you might find this interesting. My friend mindcaster in Amsterdam covering a "Mama Bakfiets" race: www.flickr.com/photos/mindcaster-ezzolicious/sets/7215760...

I know Zack knows who he is since he's posted videos on the copenhagen bike blog, and mindcaster seems to have taken inflence from Zack's cycle chic endevours: www.flickr.com/photos/mindcaster-ezzolicious/sets/7215760...

@MichaelMeiser: hehe, thanks a bunch! Interesting conv indeed.

"I've heard the Dutch have started making cargo bikes lately."

@Zack, you sure know how to stir it up. 'I've heard' & 'Lately', ROFL.

@Michael I love Zack's work for many reasons, so yeah, I like to say he inspired me to not take my bike paradise for granted anymore.

I've actually been contacted by five or six people who found their photos on my photostream... or rather my photos of them.

I always send them a hires copy.

The Dutch have always followed our lead, bless their little cotton socks. Their new venture into the Danish-inspired cargo bike market is charming and most welcome.

Mindcaster, that thief and beggar, is a lovely, cool chap who will be buying me beer when his tulip-tattooed arse finally gets here... to the World's Cycling Capital....

oh, you are so on, lol, Also, see which one of us can still ride with pride after that. :)

I had my first 'Posted & Found' this week with the Fietscafe - The Ladies Bar video. The girls told me the video is all over Facebook now.

    Netherlands 1 - Denmark 1 - with 20 minutes to go...

  9. Amsterdamized 72 months ago | reply

oh, I suppose you're talking about football..I didn't know that was on, but then again, I don't have a TV :)

I'm sure the Dutch team screwed it up in the last minute :-)

    Tulip heads. hah :)

I virtual toast to just the warm fuzzy idea of us getting together for a beer in copenhagen. :)

  11. mmeiser2 72 months ago | reply

@Zack... maybe we should start a group "hey, that's my bike!" a group for photos of bikes that were found and commented on by their original owner on flickr. :)

you're not going to wear lycra when we have that beer, are you?
if yes, I know some cool gay bars where tight, synthetic clothing is welcome.

YES I'M TEASING! HA! It would be great to meet for a beer. The Dutch guy is buying.

Mark... you have a radio, don't you? :-)

  13. Amsterdamized 72 months ago | reply

you really should start a club together :)

Michael, start looking for cheap tickets.

Mikael, can't we just drink in peace and enjoy the view from the terrace? :)

mark... then don't come in June... Euro2008... football... although... back in my single days i discovered, thankfully early on, that when Denmark was playing an important match in the summer, it was the BEST time to go to a café... spoiled for choice. a handful of men and loads of chic copenhagen girls... aaaah, those were the days.

just like staying in the village when the other men were out hunting mammoths...

  15. Amsterdamized 72 months ago | reply

I'm glad I didn't have to point out that opportunity :)

I don't mind Euro2008, it's just been so rough with all the mindless decorations, merchandise, news, you know? I'd be happy to rear my head in Kobenhavn in June, supposing there's a wee bit more sophistication than in Amsterdam :).

I like your prehistoric mentality. Heh.

Zackka and Mindcaster. You're both on the top of my short list of people to hang with when I eventually do come to visit amsterdam and copehagen. Just be forewarned... I'll probably want to do a lot of riding... and I'll need good bikeS (note the plural :)

... and the rest of the time... probably talking about riding over beers. :)

    lols and stuff.

  17. Amsterdamized 70 months ago | reply

looking forward, Michael, I envision good times. When you get to Amsterdam (first, after which you can wind down in Copenhagen :) ), I'm taking you here.

  18. Mikael Colville-Andersen 70 months ago | reply
