      a Cheltenham "perpetual calendar". Looks to be 18pt.

      As there is nothing to show the scale it's not surprising that you got it wrong - it's 36pt. You did, however, correctly identify the face.

      i suspected as much in that the page cord and reglet looked small. I was being lazy on my first few sips of coffee.

      It's a long time since I've heard the phrases 'reglet' and 'page cord' - (and I mean a long time). It was one of the most satisfying periods of my long working life; I was a compositor in a Monotype bookprinting house.
