An old one from the display on 6th March 2016.

0% Moon

A double arc

A coronal hole allowed high speed solar wind to excite and accelerate charged particles in Earth's magnetosphere which then flow down Northern and Southern magnetic field lines.

Parameters were:

Kp = 5

Solar wind speed = 489.3 km/s

IMF Total = 14.8 nT

IMF Bz = 8.2nT South

University of Lancaster magnetometer = 97.7nT deviation from mean.
