70/100 James "100 Strangers" [Explore]

I was wandering the streets of Newcastle today looking for strangers; I got a few decent shots but was starting to feel dejected at the lack of approachable older people. Most older people in Newcastle seam to freak out as soon as I ask them to be in my project. I am sure they think my camera contraption will steal their soul. And then I bumped into James and he was everything I was looking for and more. James was gently swaying from side to side saying hello to the passers by on Grey St who were in turn giving him a wide birth. But not me, because I love characters like James. I asked him straight out 'can I take your photo?' His answer was yes and then he proceeded to talk rapidly in a thick Scottish accent. Now, I have quite a bit of experience with the Scots as I am about to marry one and my Gran was one, but this guy was hard to understand. I think this was probably because of the bottle of whiskey he was downing as we spoke. Because our conversation was so weird here are some bullet points of info gleamed:

) He may be from Musselburgh

)He had been in Newcastle for four hours

)He was proud of his "Rush" T-Shirt

)He does not mind Canon

)He may play the guitar

James moved about very quickly considering the level of intoxication but I am sure he was a hardened drinker. I had a struggle keeping up with him as I only ever use central focus and spot meter. I have about 30 different shots of him where you can see quite a wide range of expression including some slightly dangerous and confusing moments. I thought that this image was most appropriate to the 100 Strangers Project.
