Mega Hamburger Eight - The Return (with special guests macaroni salad and fries)
I haven't been posting pictures of my hamburgers for a while - an aversion to being perceived as a complete glutton, perhaps?
Anyways, they're back and better than ever. This burger was on a whole wheat bun, and the meat itself was a test-combo of beef and a little bit of pre-cooked pork chorizo - definitely something I'm going to be playing more with, and a good technique to get pork flavour into an awesomely rare burger without the pork also being rare. Also included - mustard, mayo, relish, pineapple, bacon, tomatoes, onions, green pepper, mushrooms, BBQ sauce from RJ's Bob-Be-Que in Kansas City and a fried egg (really just a thin membrane of crispy white encasing a captive sauce of yolk).
That macaroni salad on the side was my first attempt at the mayonnaise-based wonder, and I wasn't 100% happy with it. The fries were homemade, and rock solid.
