The Rock of Gibraltar

The iconic Rock of Gibraltar, seen looking Northwards.

 

On the left we see part of the town, beyond it we see the Western end of the airport's runway and immediately beyond that, Spain.

 

Whether Gibraltar is part of British Territory or Spanish is disputed by politicians despite the Treaty of Utrecht in 1713 where the Spanish Crown formally ceded the territory in perpetuity to the British Crown.
