a cool clone . . .
. . . of Euphorbia rigida I came across in my neighborhood. The leaves are so tightly packed and spiral so distinctly (in both directions!). I've asked for a cutting, which the owner has approved. She merely puchased it at a local nursery - no cultivar status mentioned.
You can see that it is just starting to come into flower, and the purple tinging is no doubt due to the very cold weather we've been having of late (snow is expected in the East Bay Hills behind Berkeley!).
