USM Marine Education Center | Ocean Springs, MS
The 200 ft. long pedestrian cable suspension bridge connects the main campus to the classrooms and facilities located on the west campus. The bridge not only maintains natural site drainage, but also protects an ecologically sensitive forested bayhead while providing an interactive learning environment. A five foot construction limit around each building and the suspension bridge was rigorously enforced to keep the natural ecosystems and landscape intact.
