Ford Capri mk2 BBK244M engine.
My Capri's newly refurbished 1600 Pinto engine. All cleaned, anything damaged or worn has been repaired or replaced, serviceable items replaced and given a freshen up with new paint.
The cylinder head has been machined to take unleaded fuel hardened valve seats, new cam shaft, followers, springs etc.
This engine is this cars original engine too which must be fairly unusual these days for such old Fords. Something I'm keen to retain.
It's always been a good engine this one, I've not had any trouble with it at all, always starts even in the cold and it's surprisingly quick for a little 1.6.
