Elections for the Local Legislative Council were embraced by Hong Kong recently (Nov 2007). The clear winners were the peoples' voice and the democratic process.
In Tai Po, people chanted, waved banners and marched around the streets, not unlike overly excited high school students. It was refreshing to see such enthusiasm.
Trying to take photos, I was almost swept along by the crowd as they cheered and mobbed candidates.
