Hilom bayan, Hermisanto

The rice laid on the floor in the form of a sun with 8 rays and the cavans with the 3 colors symbolizes the Philippine flag. The charcoal which is a known element for healing diseases represents an anti-toxin against corruption, calamity, environmental abuse, hunger, conflict of interests and principles, drugs and extra judicial killings that ravage our land and people.

*Hermisanto is a multimedia artist known for experimental works since the 70's, studied at the College of Fine Arts, University of the Philippines from 1967 to 1974. He held his first major one man show at Alliance Francaise de Manille entitled "Sinlikan Ni Hermisanto."
