Operation Reef Defense - Day 2
We are up at Abbot point looking out to Juru lands with first nations people and the Sea Shepherds. We woke on deck with the beautiful sunrise and 12 coal ships along the horizon, with another two at port filling up with coal. Initial development of the Abbot point terminal plans to double the capacity of the port and amount of ships passing over the reef. Jarmbi of the Gidabul people led us in ceremony, taking time to acknowledge and connect with both sea and land before turning to face the coal terminal. Later in the day a smoking ceremony was performed on the deck to clear the negative energy within ourselves and then the wind carried the smoke to Abbot Point to clear it there. #OperationReefDefense #WaterIsLife #FrontLineAction
