the "R-140" ranger
"blue streak" because the 4.10 rear axle makes it quite responsive off the line, many rangers provided parts for this build, hence the secondary title of "johnny cash edition" (song of his from the 70s- "one piece at a time") could also be called the "70s tribute ranger" as ive done a few things that are reminesant of the full-size F-series from the 70's with the ranger trim package. i chose the "R-140" as a model designation because (1) its a little less than a "150/half ton" and (2) its a 140 cubic inch engine. mazda did a similar thing with its models , the B2300, B3000 & the B4000. all identifiing the c.c.'s of engine displacement. with the theme of being "old school" im going with cubic inches.
