How to spice up a fruit salad

Literally -- friend William C. suggested this, so good on him: took the plums and kiwis from my organic basket, along with one of the peaches and part of the canteloupe. Sliced 'em up, then, as you can see from the other stuff, grated fresh ginger onto the whole shebang. A little cane sugar at the end finished the job.
