Roman Legionary 1 By Barthezz Brick

It's good to be back with something i've been working on the last few days. The 'Crime Scene' moc will be posted in about a week. I have to do some re-shoots because of bad lighting/background.

So in the meanwhile i customized a minifig into an Roman Legionary. It's the first out of 35 Legionaries because i'm going to build a Testudo, yes yes!

- Roman Legionary of the Roman Empire -

- Some background story:

The Roman legionary was a professional heavy infantryman of the Roman army after the Marian reforms. Legionaries had to be Roman citizens under the age of 45. They enlisted in a legion for twenty-five years of service, a change from the early practice of enlisting only for a campaign. The last five years were on veteran lighter duties.

- Equipment:

On the march in unfriendly terrain, the legionary would be loaded down with (brickwarriors) custom armour, shield, helmet, javelin, a short sword, a belt, a wollen red under layer for that cold europian nights and a pair of heavy sandals (custom made).

- Future builds:

What can you ecspect from me in the months to come. More Roman, Crusader and last but not least Game of Thrones custom minifigs + 2 Game of thrones mocs i'm working on. Small teasers coming soon to give you a hint :)
