  • Yep. I'm not a big fan of blue, but I love the yellow inside!

I don't like the subject, and generally am turned off by empty benches. Plus, I must punish you because I'm sure you stole that bag after taking the picture.

Zadignose: it wasn't me! It must have been soemone who looks like me.

I don't care if the focus isn't perfect. It's a lovely shot that asks the viewer to to make up their own story. And the hint of blue is a nice bit, too.

I can't believe no one mentioned the tree in the shot. It does not add anything but distracts. I would have liked just the bench with the bag...would have made it more interesting.

You just didn't look hard enough :-) Two previous comments, which mention the tree:

You caught me! I actually don't know how to read..I was really trying hard to hide it..thanks for blowing it for me and telling everyone..

Don't worry - it's just like writing, only opposite. You'll get the hang of it soon enough.

I am outraged. We are in constant orange alert here in the US and what do Australians/persons in Australia do? They take cute pictures of potential terrorist devices. Way to go. Nice comp and light but just a bit of a cliche. Plus, you obviously could care less about national security.

Great shot, howver I think you need a bigger bag to pull it off. The rest of the photo is great, lovely saturation and composition 90% of the way there.

Fantastic composition. At first I saw the soft focus and considered a delete - but this pic has so much going for it, I couldn't possibly vote against it for a technical deficiency. Good work!

I quite like the tree's presence - even seeing its trunk might have been nice. The rest of the composition is ok but for me a blue bag left on a bench doesn't tell much of a story. For all I know the owner could be just out of the frame. The soft focus was the deciding factor - nothing was moving so why didn't you nail the focus?!

looks like I'm getting critised for voting too soft, & since there is an issue of focus
