Slavutych - Back

The city of Slavutych was constructed in 1986 to replace the evacuated city of Pripyat and support workers at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. The city is now home to nearly 25,000 residents. On the back of the coin are the names of the eight different soviet republics that constructed the city, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia and Ukraine.
