I Only Went Out for a Walk... (Black & White, Saguaro National Park)
One of many awe-inspiring stops, if you will, while walking along the Mica View Trail. A volunteer park ranger I'd chatted with before my trip had mentioned it was closed for work, but with fortuitous timing on my part, they'd just finished that work the day prior. So off I walked, savoring the views of mountains and saguaro cactus all around me.
For this image, I waited until I could find that slightly open view across the desert landscape to some tall saguaro cactus that happened to have a mountain backdrop. I later converted to black & white with Silver Exex Pro 2 and used a "path to follow" recipe which I found brought out the best tonal contrast for this natural park desert setting.
