Room 302, Bellevue Groothoofd, Dordrecht, The Netherlands

Been a long day-and-a-half. I don't sleep much on airplanes. Sometimes, like last night, not at all. So it's just like old times in architecture school...lots of coffee to get me through today. I landed in Amsterdam at 8 this morning (1 AM Houston time), took the inter-city down to Dordrecht, then the stop-train to Zwijndrecht, where our new company is located. Had good meetings, then came to the hotel, located in the old part of Dordrecht. I was delighted to open the door of my room to find this view view overlooking the water. This waterway is actually the confluence of three rivers, the Oude Maas, the Noord and the Beneden Merwede, apparently all segments of the Rhine delta. Lots of cargo barges and commuter ferries gliding by.

This is a small old historic hotel that was recommended by my boss. Hoping to get out this evening for a few night shots in Rotterdam, about 15 minutes away.

Check out original size to see the detail in the architecture and also to see if you can find me somewhere in this image.

Cheers all and thanks for stopping by!
