Face off

A quiet walk in some of deepest, darkest Ayrshire. Obviously there's something different in the water round there, as after being nearly trembled by a herd of sinister-looking sheep (No photo taken through sheer terror, you understand) we came across this herd of exceptionally curious cows.

Now, I don't know much about cows (perhaps someone can correct me if I'm wrong?) but I know younger cows (Heffers?) are somewhat platonic. Indeed, they were fascinated by my dog, and even went as far to sniff her bottom. This may be standard for dogs, but I'm not sure how intimate it is for a cow.

Soon she was star of the show, and the cows circled her as some kind of furry-tiny-cow leader. After they worshipped her with their bovine eyes for a good five minutes, I decided it best to recall her in case one accidentally stepped on her. A fear for any human, let alone dog, in deepest, darkest Ayrshire.
