Delta Air Lines cancels over 800 flights from Atlanta

February 13, 2010... Atlanta.

Delta Air Lines cancellations at Hartsfield... over 800 grounded flights, impacting thousands of frustrated and abandoned Delta passengers.

3 inches of snow in Atlanta brought Delta to their knees, nearly a total system shutdown (failure). Watched departures of other carriers... as the Delta desks went unmanned -- and the monitors displayed more and more cancellations. Planes remained snow covered at the gates.

AirTran and U.S. Airways continued to fly. Private jets, FedEx and UPS were taking off.

Horrible customer service -- Delta shut down their main reservation number (according to a airline employee), unreachable for over 14 hours. Thousands of stranded passengers desperate to reschedule... Delta doesn't care.

Delta... always a mistake. Stranded in the airport for 26 hours. Did I mention it was 26 hours?

Delta sucks.

There is a serious disconnect between how to treat customers well -- and how Delta does it. I do everything I can to stay out of their revenue stream.... always looking for alternatives to avoid flying Delta.
