Bowmans Bridge 3
Bowmans Bridge is an ancient stone bridge across a small, seemingly nameless river that runs through a copse of trees between some fields. We first came across the place about 15 years ago, and little has changed in that time - I suspect it's been around a long time in one form or another.
The river itself is small - this is the widest part - with about 15 feet clear between the bridge and some fallen branches/undergrowth upstream. The pool before the bridge forms a hidden, enclosed area under the canopy of branches, and I had to crouch while shooting. It's also a spot known to a few local children (and parents) who walk the mile or 2 across the fields to come hunting for small aquatic creatures, as children always have.
