Wisconsin Idea Seminar 2017: RIVER TOUR
Wisconsin Idea Seminar is an annual five-day traveling study tour that visits a variety of sites in Wisconsin each spring to highlight the Wisconsin Idea to UW-Madison professors and staff and to demonstrate the possibilities of collaboration between UW–Madison and community partners around the state. The 2017 Seminar included stops at the International Crane Foundation;
an archaeological sites in Trempealeau;
the Pump House Regional Arts Center in La Crosse; the La Farge Medical Clinic that serves nearby Amish communities;Ho-Chunk Nation sites in the Kickapoo Valley Reserve;
the farming operations of Gottschalk Cranberry Inc.; the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point; Kelley Country Creamery, and Milwaukee’s Vincent High School.
