Colours of Despair (HWW)

    Newer Older

I recently went down Graffiti Alley in Toronto. I have been wanting to go here for sometime. Ever since seeing Rick Mercer doing his rants. He always made me laugh. Here is a small clip.

On the flip side and not so funny. I noticed this tarp like tent here and wondered why we have to have this in a country like ours. Or any where for that matter. I think we need to be kinder.
    Happy Window Wednesday

I do like the colours of the wall - graffiti is definitely an art form. The homelessness, though, is so sad and a sign of the times.

We have this problems in our city also, Dana... I even had an acquaintance who lost his job and was living in his car so after a period of time he hadn't found another job I offered him my extra room.. almost 3 years later I kicked him out because I couldn't see that he was even trying to get a job and I personally gave him 2 applications.. He said they told him he was over qualified because he was a computer tec... Hey, If they needed a clerk or a cook, and he was a good one, they wouldn't have turned him down because he was a computer tec... He had it good here and I finally got tired of supporting him for only a little in return... Cook and driver... Sorry for my rant !!
Loved that video clip and tend to agree with him...
NOW.. Great job on the artwork.. There are some great artist out there.. Too bad they can't put it on canvas and sell it...

      That was a wonderful clip!
I do love a good graffiti wall,
and in Portland, Maine, there is a wonderful area that encourages such a thing, which gets erased from time to time for new talent! But the tent above is very disturbing.

One wonders where the person(s) in the makeshift tent will go during the Canadian winter.
Ah well, much for which to be thankful.
      Cool wall Dana.
      Happy Wall Wednesday!
