Burnt Orange Sunset near College Station, Texas. God Bless Texas!

We were returning from the hospital in Bryan, Texas where our daughter-in-law had just given birth to a perfect little girl with red hair, our 12th grandchild!

As the sun began to set, the sky turned into these fantastic layers of oranges, purples, yellows, reds, and all the shades in between. I found an open pasture where I could pull off the road and take this picture. This is SOOC --straight out of the camera. These are the real colors! I've done nothing to this picture except crop out a telephone pole that was in the original.

I'm sure some Aggies will see a little bit of maroon in this picture, but it appears to me to be mainly burnt orange! Guess we see what we want to see.

At any rate, it was an amazing and wondeful show as the colors went through a whole range of colors as the sun went down. It was beautiful to watch,

It was a fantastic sunset for the birth of a little red-headed girl whose whole life is before her. Two miracles in one day! Doesn't get any better than that.
