Planet of the Mists
Shot taken at dawn from the summit of Mount Rocciamelone (3,538 m - 11,608 ft).
This dates back to October 14th 2010, yes, a long time ago!... I've immediately loved the atmosphere captured here, nevertheless I've been a bit reluctant to post this on the web because I believe that long formats do not render well. And probably I'm right, in any case here it is.
Just imagine this image in high resolution, and you'll get closer to the sense of infinity that this landscape can communicate.
The title is a flight of fancy toward distant planets, as often I do... never forgetting that we actually do not need "other planets" especially considering that a single lifetime is certainly not enough to admire the immense beauty that "our" planet has to offer :-)
