This is our galaxy, the Milky Way, passing over the stone ridges near the refuge "Città di Chivasso" on the plateau Nivolet (2.612 m), Gran Paradiso National Park.
As it's well known, today's best cameras can record more light than we can see with our eyes. Obviously through long exposures and in the right conditions.
In terms of trajectory this sector of the Milky Way is the natural consequence, to the left,
of what is shown in my previous picture "The Sword in the Stone".
