GQUAL in the UK
In May, GQUAL team members participated in a discussion on gender parity in international representation and the UK judiciary at the Law Society of England and Wales. On the panel were Christine Chinkin; Justice Laura Cox; Professor Philippe Sands,QC, Professor of Law at University College London and Director of the Centre for International Courts and Tribunals, and a practising barrister and co-founder of Matrix Chambers; Karon Monaghan, QC, DeputJoanna Evans, European Human Rights Advocacy Centre (EHRAC) Legal Director, Barrister, Recorder & Deputy District Judge, moderated the discussion.

Rounding out GQUAL's visit to ‪‎London‬ was a strategy meeting at the The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). The purpose of the meeting was to identify opportunities, challenges, and outline strategies on how to work with the legal and academic communities based in the ‪‎UK‬ and ultimately get the government to sign on to the campaign.
