Frontyard at VOLUME 2017
In October Frontyard went off-yard to Volume 2017 Book Fair (vaabf.com/) for cataloguing and cuppas! We spent the weekend at Artspace, collectively cataloguing ephemera from the Frontyard library, using a really easy no-experience-necessary system. A bunch of friends and new friends dropped by to share a cuppa, do some work and delve into the treasure trove!

The ephemera is part of Frontyard's non-lending library. The library is founded on the decommissioned Australia Council Research library and is now a growing collection of material related to, and generated by, the Australian arts community.

This ongoing effort asks the questions:
"Who is responsible for holding, maintaining and caring for public goods? What is it to commons? What is valued and what is refused? Where do the things we produce end up 30 years later."
