Dawn over Ingleborough

From Twisleton. Ingleborough hill was once believed to be the highest mountain in England and hardly surprising as it dominates the area, and has its own climate. The Romans built a hill fort on the summit, probably not a popular posting for a Roman soldier. This scene has a pimeval feel to it and those of us who love wandering the limestone of Twisleton may recognise some of the tree characters.
