Un | Fixed Homeland: A Dinner Party (September 24, 2016)
Aljira, a Center for Contemporary Art hosted a dinner party that celebrated the exhibition Un | Fixed Homeland, featuring 13 emerging and established global artists of Guyanese heritage who examine the complex relationship to “homeland” through photography and photography-based art.

In this intimate event, guests dined in the gallery among the exhibition’s artwork and enjoyed both traditional and nouveau Guyanese cuisine, specially prepared by Guyanese-born chef Marlyn Lawrie-Rogers, to complement the exhibition’s vibrant themes.
