There is a lot of filming that goes on here in Los Angeles and the film industry uses retired and active off-duty police officers in uniform to provide crowd and traffic control at motion picture filming locations throughout L.A.

These are always random encounters and I always ask if I may take pictures. But the best part isn't getting the shots, it's getting to talk to these guys. The retired officers always have the best stories and plenty of wisdom to impart.
