The Cruel Sea DSC_2907
This is the rugged coastline of Cape Nelson, western Victoria. Above sits the Cape Nelson lighthouse, erected in 1884. The stretch of coast has claimed many a ship and according to the Sherpa, almost claimed me.
Apparently I was standing way to close to the edge of the cliff while trying to photograph this miserly sunset. The cloud was so heavy and the wind was howling, it wasn't easy to make this image. The Sherpa was beside himself yelling at me to move away from the edge, practically citing height safety regulations. That is the problem with getting too absorbed in what you are doing that you loose perspective. Apparently.
Wishing you all the wonder of photography adventures in this New Year, as long as they are safe ones :)
