Somewhat Familiar 2017
Gorgeous early autumn weather saw 20 riders show up on September 24, 2017, for the 200km route somewhat Familiar: from Esquimalt to the northern tip of Saanich Peninsula, then heading out to Sooke via the Galloping Goose Trail, and back for pie and cheer. Congratulations to all that took part, from first brevet effort, Rob Sutherland, our first rider in, to Greg Olmsted, that came all the way from San Diego to experience a Van Isle ride. Other new randonneurs included Murray Higgins and Rosemary Lee. Bravo!

Thank you to Stephen and Carol Hinde that gave unending support, and to the many other volunteers that make the event possible and enjoyable.
